We can always count on Elon Musk to tweet random thoughts throughout the year. Elon Musk is entertaining, and not afraid or embarrassed to voice his opinion even when it leads him into serious trouble. Here are some of his favorite tweets for the year.
1. Bitcoin can be used to buy Teslas (or you could not).
Musk announced on May 24th that you could buy Teslas with popular cryptocurrency. He later changed his mind after being opposed by social media users.
2. Toilet tweets are infamous
Musk boldly stated in November that he was tweeting from his bathroom. That’s a big T.M.I. It’s a big T.M.I. for us all, and a surprise to no one.
3. Strange crypto proclamation
It’s one thing to sing the praises of an emerging (and slightly sarcastic) cryptocurrency, but fans went nuts when he announced Tesla would accept Dogecoin for merch.
4. Unexpected career changes
Musk loves to tell witty jokes. Some are a bit sour, others have 426,000 hits. His December announcement stated that he wanted to be a full time influencer.
5. His stock must be sold
Arguably one of the craziest stunts ever (within the social media realm or even in the real world), Musk took a vote on selling Tesla stock…then did exactly that.
